MODERNISASI PENDIDIKAN ISLAM NAHDLATUL ULAMA

Abstract

This paper will describe the modernization of Nahdlatul Ulama Islamic education from the aspects of objectives, curriculum, methods, human resources, institutions, and their influences and contributions. Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) as one of the largest Islamic organizations in Indonesia, has a very significant role in the process of modernizing education in Indonesia, especially Islamic education. The modernization of NU education cannot be separated from prisons. Ma'arif NU who functions as the executor of NU policies in the field of education and teaching, both formal and non-formal. Meanwhile RMI (Rabitha Ma'ahid Al-Islamiyah) is carrying out NU policy tasks in the field of developing the education system and Islamic boarding schools.
