The principal is a professional official in the school organization whose job is to manage
all school resources. The People's Private Junior High School is a public school where there are various religions, ethnicities and races. But uniquely, schools carry out special applications and applications by getting used to Wudu and Salat in congregation at the time of learning Islamic Religious Education related to fiqh material regarding Wudu and Salat. This study aims to determine the role, efforts and supporting and inhibiting factors of school principals in improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning on fiqh material. With the formulation of the problem that includes: 1) What is the role of school principals in improving the quality of learning Islamic Religious Education. 2) What efforts can be made by school principals in improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning. 3) What are the factors that support and hinder in improving the quality of learning Religious Education. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of field research. Data collection methods used include: (1) Observation, (2) Interview, and (3) Documentation. The techniques used to guarantee the validity of the data include: persistent observation (persistence in observing) and Tringulation (performing tringulation). The findings of this study indicate that: 1) the principal's role in improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning is the most dominant role of the principal as managerial, motivator, facilitator and supervisor. 2) the principal's efforts to improve the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning by completing the required learning facilities and infrastructure. 3) supporting and inhibiting factors include: interest of students, educators, parents, facilities and infrastructure and the environment. In carrying out the role as the head, he has carried out his role well as a managerial by carrying out the existing rules. As well as the efforts made by school principals are to provide motivation, supervise and evaluate teachers as well as complete facilities and infrastructure in schools, supporting and inhibiting factors in improving the quality of PAI learning are the interests of students, educators, parents, facilities and infrastructure and the environment.
