MINAT SISWA MADRASAH ALIYAH DALAM MELANJUTKAN PENDIDIKAN KE PERGURUAN TINGGI AGAMA ISLAM SWASTA DI KABUPATEN ROKAN HILIR

Abstract

This  study  aims  to  find  out.  This  research  aims  to  determine  the  interest  of students of Madrasah Aliyah Kota Bagansiapiapi in Continuing Education to Private  Islamic  Universities  in  Rokan  Hilir  Regency.  This  research  is  a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. Data was collected using a questionnaire. The questionnaire was developed with indicators that refers to student  interests  and  factors  that  affect  student  interest.  To  find  out  student interest and factors affecting student interest in continuing education at Private Islamic Universities in Rokan Hilir Regency in the form of a percentage. Documentation and interviews are used to complete the discussion. presented in a qualitative descriptive. The results showed that: (1) The interest of the Bagansiapiapi City Madrasah Aliyah students to continue their education to the Private Islamic Higher Education was classified as less interested with a percentage of 59.52% in the 40-60% interval. (2) The factors that influence the low interest of students to continue their education to private Islamic universities are: (a) The presence or department is not in accordance with the current job requirements. 64.71% (b) The students' lack of confidence that graduating from private Islamic tertiary institutions got the desired job. 52% (c) High tuition fees and low socioeconomic status of parents 47.06%. (d) The lack of maximum socialization by the private sector Perguran Tingi 46.94%.
