Abstract

Islamic education is a means to prepare young people to live based on Islamic values. It takes a complete and comprehensive system to direct students to live in the Islamic concept. The concept of Islamic education has the basics and standards that have been set as references. The basics of education used by the Prophet. There are five sources in education, namely the Koran, Hadith, ijtihad, sayings of friends and al-adat. The highest principle of the Koran which is the basis for the implementation of Islamic education must be a reference for all Muslim human activities  in   the   field   of   education  from   concepts,  theories,   programs,  to   practice  or implementation. The Prophet's practices and deeds.in the process of changing daily life it becomes the main source and main reference in Islamic education. The changing times have made it necessary to do ijtihad by Muslim intellectuals to obtain the truth about a matter, precisely when the Koran and Hadith do not explain in detail about it. In the context of Islamic education, Muslim intellectuals carry out ijtihad as an effort to reason or better understand the signs put forward by the Koran and Hadith. The words, actions and attitudes of friends can be used as a basis for additional education, as long as they do not conflict with the basic principles. Likewise with the customs in the era of the Prophet.can be used as a basis for education provided that it does not contradict Islamic teachings and is not prohibited by the Prophet
