Abstract

This study aims to describe the religious attitudes of students in SMA Negeri 1 Munte at school, the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in improving religious attitudes and the inhibiting and supporting factors faced by Islamic Religious Education teachers in improving students' religious attitudes. This research was conducted from November to March 2022.

The results showed that the religious attitudes of the students of SMA Negeri 1 Munte were good, and the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in improving the religious attitudes of the students of SMA Negeri 1 Munte, namely: educators, teachers, mentors, models and role models. The factors that influence Islamic Religious Education teachers in improving religious attitudes in SMA Negeri 1 Munte students include: a. Supporting factors: 1) From the school; 2) school environmental factors; 3) School facilities and infrastructure factors; 5) Supporting environmental factors 6) The teacher's approach to students of SMA Negeri 1 Munte by using several methods in religious character education, including the habituation method, the uswah method or example, the lecture method, the educational method with advice, and the comparison method. b, Inhibiting factors: 1) understanding factors from parents 2) Lack of coordination between school organizations and; 3) Inhibitor of the material.
