Abstract

This study aims to provide an explanation of the effect of memorizing the Qur'an on student achievement in class VIII wustho Ma'had An-Ni'mah Sei Mencirim. This study uses a descriptive quantitative research method. Data collection methods used in this study include: (1) Observation, (2) Interview (3) Documentation with 53 research subjects. It was found that students who had memorized from 0 to 4 Juz were 49%, 5 to 9 Juz were 43%, 10 to 14 Juz were 8%. While 43% of student learning outcomes have very good learning outcomes, 36% have good learning outcomes, 21% have sufficient learning outcomes. The collected data is then tested using the SPPS application. Then the results of the analysis using the product moment technique show that there is a significant influence between memorizing the Al-Qur'an with a value of r = 0.664. The magnitude of the correlation number indicates that the correlation is in the "strong" category. The coefficient of determination is 0.441 which means it has a positive effect of 44.1% and the remaining 55.9% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.
